Dean Yeagle - Facebook Timeline Cover

this tag tutorial was made using artwork by Dean Yeagle
I bought my tubes from CILM but they are now available from CDO here
scraps used Boom Pow by Sarah @Designs by Sarah
available HERE
WSL Mask number 148 from here
 add masks to your mask folder
.............................
OPEN A NEW CANVAS  851 x 315 PIXELS

open red plain paper from the kit
 copy and paste paper onto your canvas then duplicate it, 
go to Image - mirror so it covers the entire background

 open up paper 8 from the kit resize by 80% using smartsize
then apply the WSL mask number 148 to the paper,
 by going to Layers - load/save mask from disk 
click ok or apply depending on your version of PSP
then go to layers - merge group
copy and paste as a new layer onto your FB cover canvas
 duplicate it and arrange so that the boom pow wording is all over the canvas.

NEXT open up the word bubble from the kit, 
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas.
aow add a while edge, do this by going to 
Selections all - Selections float 
then Selections- modify-expand by 2
add a new raster layer and floodfill with white
SELECTIONS NONE
then slide the white layer beneath the word bubble layer
add a drop shadow to the white layer

next using your magic wand tool click inside the bubble word frame
go to selections modify expand by 2

then copy and paste the blue paper from the kit as a new layer
go to selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess

next add tube/artwork of choice, arrange inside the frame
and hit the delete key to remove anything outside of the frame.

do the same for the buildings skyline within the frame

once done go to selections none
the tube I used I also grey scaled 
by going to adjust hue and saturation 
and move the sliders both to zero.

 I added another tube/artwork of  Mandy as a super hero
cos I thought it went well. add a drop shadow and arrange to the right side.

add blue and red glitter splats from the kit,
I resized mine by 50% and added one on each side of the frame
then slide both underneath the frame and the skyline and blue paper below it.

 for the text I used a font called Fish fingers its a free font get it HERE

set to font size 36 pixels, colour blue
then go to select all- float and 
selections modify expand by 2 
and add a new layer floodfill with white
 slide the white layer beneath the text.
go to layers -merge down.

add any other elements you like,
 I added another boom shape and floodfilled it with a red paper
and a blue boom splat behind it resized by 50%

add the artist copyright and licence.

Elias - Its Magic

scraps used Abracadabra by Sarah @Designs by Sarah

Vix big masks2 number 017 from her blog HERE
 add mask to your mask folder
.............................
OPEN A NEW CANVAS  600 X 600 PIXELS

open paper 1 from the kit resize by 
 copy and paste paper onto your canvas
then apply vix halloween mask 017

by going to Layers - load/save mask from disk

choose the correct mask and click load or apply.
 go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group

resize by 90%

then dupicate this mask layer
go to image - flip
then go to Adjust - Hue and Saturation - colourize
move both sliders down to zero this makes it greyscale

now open up frame
rotate right by 90
 go to Image - flip
resize by 70% using smartsize

then make the frame greyscale also by going to
Adjust - Hue and Saturation - colourize
move both sliders down to zero

 next click inside the frame with your magix wand tool
go to Selections- modify- Expand
open up paper 5 from the kit
copy and paste onto your canvas as a new layer
arrange to your liking, I arranged the paper so i could see the moon.
once happy with placement go to selections invert and hit delete key to remove the excess

then still with your selection active
copy and paste the broken glass from the kit
and hit delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none

add a drop shadow to the frame layer

open up blue ribbon2 from the kit
resize by 60% using smartsize
then rotate right by 90
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
add a drop shadow

open up gem2 from the kit
resize by 15% using smartsize
copy and paste as a new layer and place over the ribbon
add a drop shadow

now add tube of choice
I greyscaled this particular one by going to

Adjust - Hue and Saturation - colourize
move both sliders down to zero

add a drop shadow

then  slide the opacity down  to 50%
on the tube so you can see through it
and with your selection tool carefully select the areas of her leg that overlap the frame
hit the delete key to remove the excess

slide opacity back up to 100%
then duplicate the tube
 go to Layers - Properties change the blend mode from normal to soft light

add copyright and your name
font I used is Noir-et-Blanc

Great Hotness - tag tutorial

Halloween Mask 0905 by VixPSP HERE
add mask to your mask folder

OPEN A NEW CANVAS  700 X 500 PIXELS

open paper 2 from the kit resize by 70%
copy and paste paper2 onto your canvas
then apply vix halloween mask 0905

by going to Layers - load/save mask from disk 
choose the correct mask and click load or apply.

depending on your version of PSP.
go to Layers - Merge - Merge group 

open up  frame 2 resize by 90%
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
add a drop shadow

using the selection tool in PSP
draw out rectangle and while its still selected
 completely fill the selection with tube of choice
do this by keep copying  and pasting each tube as a new layer
 then when happy with placement of all tubes go to
selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess from each tube layer
untill you are left with just the rectangle filled with your tube
it will look something like this...

now go to selections none

next merge down till all the tubes are on the one layer
adjust hue and saturation to zero


*next step is optional 
then go to Plugins - Xero Radiance using these settings

now floodfill on a new layer with gradient of choice
there are some great free ones HERE OR HERE

  then change the blend mode to screen
by going to Layers- Properties and in the drop down menu choose 'Screen'
you can play with different gradients, and different blend modes for different effects..

add spider from the kit resize by 35%
add a drop shadow

add the pink web line resize by 95% slide beneath the frame and rectangle layer

add a drop shadow
I used 2H 2V opacity 48 blur 3

Add your text or name
fonts I used were too tight set to 72 get it HERE
and  lamplighter Script set to 48 get it here

ASCENSION - JANESKO

scraps used 'Ascension' by Designz by Sarah available HERE

Mask 360 by VixPSP HERE
 .............................................................................
open a new canvas 500 X 500 pixels
floodfill with white

open up paper5 from the kit
 and copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas

 apply mask
by going to LAYERS - LOAD/SAVE MASK - LOAD MASK FROM DISK
select vix mask number 360 
use these settings

click load
go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group 

add tube of choice, I resized mine by 80% but depends which tube you are using
add a drop shadow


open up a paper of choice, and using your selection tool, on these settings below

make a selection on the paper about 400 pixels wide and depth about 4-5 grey squares
it will look a bit like this below

now go to EDIT - CUT 
then paste as a new layer onto your tag canvas.
 add a drop shadow of choice

open ribon1 from the kit, resize by 70%
slide this layer beneath the rounded rectangle layer
add a drop shadow

add the branch from the kit, resize by 80%
then go to image - flip

next add the feather 2 from the kit
resize by 30% add a drop shadow

add flower 4 from the kit,
resize by 30% add a drop shadow

then add button1 from the kit,
resize by 20%
add a drop shadow


make sure you add your name and copyright before you animate.
for names on this tag I used a font called Too Tight
font set to size 72


ANIMATION
use your freehand selection tool use these settings
Photobucket
with your mouse left click carefully around the earing or whatever part you want to add sparkle to.

when you have done around the entire earing double click to make the selection

then go to Effetcs - Effects – Plugins  - Alienskin xenofex 2 – constellation
use the settings below

(if you wanted a more subtle effect then just change the density to a lower number
you want it more bliny then change the density to a higher number)

then go to selections none



then go to Image - copy merged- and paste into Animation shop
 
back to PSP
click undo button twice
and go to Effect- Plugins - Alien skin Xenofex2 - constellation with the the same settings 
but this time hit the random button.
 
then go to Selections none
then copy merged and paste into Animation shop after current frame

back to PSP
click undo twice,
go to Effect- Plugins - Alien skin Xenofex2 - constellation with the the same settings,
 hit the random button one last time.
go to Selections none- copy merged and paste into Animation shop after current frame one last time

now save your tag as a gif, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
save your tag

My Tongue is Sharper than my Knife

add masks to your masks folder
..............................................................

open up a new canvas 600x600 pixels
you can always crop later...

 copy and paste pink mesh onto your canvas
as a new layer
arrange to the top half of the canvas

then duplicate it, and go to image mirror

and arrange to the bottom of the canvas

open up pink paper from the kit
resize using smartsize to 600 pixels
and apply the DBV mask 59
by going to LAYERS - LOAD/SAVE MASK - LOAD MASK FROM DISK

click apply and go to layers - merge group

then go to Image - flip

copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas


then 

open up black paper from the kit
resize using smartsize to 600 pixels
and apply the DBV mask 59 same as before

 click apply and go to layers - merge group

set your text tool to yummy cupcakes font
 set your background colour to pink to match your tube forground null
then select your preset shape tool and choose the Ellipse option
draw out a circle using your preset shape tool

while its still a vector layer click on the text tool
hover over the very edge till the little 'A' icon appears this will enable you to get the circlular text
I used font size 55 but it will depend on the size of your circle...
write the quote,  'My Tongue is sharper than my Knife' once happy - apply the text .
click on the little plus icon in the layers pallette of this layer
this will open up 2 hidden layers, one will be called circle or new ellipse depending on your version of PSP
click on the little eye on the new ellipse layer
(this removed the circle and leaves the circular text)

now convert the layer to a raster layer
by going to Layers -  Convert to raster

add a drop shadow to all your layers

resize ribbon2 by 40%

resize ribbon3 by 30%
copy and paste both onto your tag arrange to your liking.


add your name and artist copyright.
save your tag.

Wiccan - tutorial

scraps used was Wolf Girl by Pimp'd Designs

ANIMATION by Lovey HERE
I used the one called whiteclustersparksbylovey
Mask by Weescotslass - Number10 HERE

Start by opening a new canvas roughly 600x600 pixels


open up the moon  copy and paste as a new layer arrange to the top left

open frame 8 from the kit copy and paste as a new layer

 go to Image- rotate right by 20%

  then open paper 11 from the kit copy and paste as a new layer
apply the WSL mask number 10
by going to Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk
use these settings

click load

go to Layers- merge group

slide this layer beneath the frame layer

copy and paste tube of choice,
then duplicate the tube and slide one beneath the frame

make the frame the active layer
and click inside it with the magic wand tool

go to modify - expand by 12

then make the bottom tube the active layer
and go to selections invert then hit the delete key to remove the excess
 go to selections none

then make the top tube the active layer,
and erase the lower part of the tube that is overlapping the lower part of the frame

this makes the tube appear as if she is 'coming out of the frame'

this tube comes with the bats seperatly,
so add them as  new layer
add a drop shadow

resixe entire tag by 80%

and your name plus artist copyright
I used Windsong font settings below

if you didnt want to try the animation
you could save your tag as a png. 

adding animation
............................................................................
first open up the animation you want to use and delete any copyright layer
then just leave it open for now


then go back to PSP
 copy merged and then paste into animation shop

then go to Animation - Animations- Properties 
and choose canvas colour as white
or whatever colour you want to match the background of where you most post your tags


then copy and paste after current frame
keep repeating this step untill you have the same number of frames as your animation
if using the same animation as i did you will need 22 frames

on the animation you want use go to Edit- select all, then edit- copy 
ensure propagate paste button is pressed

then on the the tag you want use go to Edit- select all
and paste into current frame

*make sure you line up with the centre of the sphere on your tag

 save as a gif

Arthur Crowe - Skater Girls

you need to purchase his tubes HERE Tube i used is called Cool Girl
Template 448 - by Divine Intentions HERE
ptu scrap kit used was Aracnid by Designs by Sarah HERE

as an alternative you could use gradients instead of papers
a good free resource for that is Nansons site HERE
 ........................................................................
open up Template number 448
 
copy and paste print 1 (purple splats) 
go to Layers - duplicate 
 then go to Image - mirror
send both to the bottom layer

copy and paste print3 (pink splats)
slide to the bottom but above the purple splats layers

click on the top thin rectangle layer
go to Layers - merge down  (twice)
 
go to selections - selections all - selections float -
floodfill the the rectangles with a paper from the kit or a gradient  of choice
as a new layer
then go to selections none
go to selections - selections all - selections float -
floodfill the rounded rectangle with the purple paper from the kit
 or a purple gradient of choice as a new layer
go to selections none

open up ribbon 1 crop from the kit
cut in half from the left side
then copy and paste as a new layer
add a drop shadow and duplicate twice arrange to liking

 
click on the circle layer to make this layer active
 go to selections - selections all - selections float
add close up tube of choice as a new layer
 
 then add purple paper as a new layer or gradient of choice
go to selections - invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess
 then change the blend mode to screen
by going to Layers - Properties - and change the blend mode from normal to screen

make the frame back layer the active layer then  
go to selections - selections all - selections float
add close up tube of choice as a new layer
and line up the tube with the tube in the circle

then add black paper or gradient of choice
go to selections - invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess
 then change the blend mode to screen

change the hue and saturation of cloce up tube on the frame back layer
move both sliders to 'zero'

add the tube again to frame back 2 and 3, 
I used the bit of the tube from the skateboard she is holding, 
and arranged the cool girl bit to my liking.
 
next the small thin rectangles 
go to selections - selections all - selections float -
floodfill both thin rectangles with the pink paper with stitches (or gradient of choice) as a new layer
go to selections invert and delete the excess
 go to selections none
 
move both these layers to the top 

next add button resize by 40% using smartsize 
add a drop shadow and the duplicate

add flower1 resize by 40% add a drop shadow

add string3 resize by 40% add a drop shadow
 
add your name and artist copyright

open up sb_pmt_ohMinnie_print 5slide below the frame
open up frame1 - resize by 70% using smartsize
make certain that all layers box is NOT checked

click inside the frame with the magic wand tool
go to selections modify expand by 2
go to selections invert 

 then copy and paste paper3 from the kit, 
hot the delete key on your keyboard to remove the excess
go to selections none
go to layers -arrange- send to bottom 

then resize frame by another 10%
add bow and element from the kit, resize and add a drop shadow

add tube of choice,
duplicate tube layer and slide one benath the frame layer
then make the top tube the active tube simply by clicking on it, 
add a drop shadow 

then click inside the frame layer with the erasor tool
and go to selections modify expand by 2 
go to selections invert make the bottom tube layer active and hit delete to remove the excess
then with your erasor tool erase the area of the top tube that overlaps the bottom of the frame..
untill it looks tidy and her head appears to come
out of the frame like mine.

add copyright and your name or text, save your tag.

add masks to your masks folder

open up a new canvas 700x650 pixels
you can always crop later...

open up paper pd13from the kit and apply the vix bigmasks2 no.16
by going to LAYERS - LOAD/SAVE MASK - LOAD MASK FROM DISK

and click LOAD

open up pd13-print-02
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas

open up pd13-print-01
resize 90% using smartsize
then go to rotate - free rotate - right 90
 add a drop shadow

open up pd13-frame-01
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
add a drop shadow

next  open up pd13-ribbon-02

 resize by 80% using smartsize
add a drop shadow

open up pd13-clip-01
resize 40% using smartsize
arrange over the blue bow ( pd13-ribbon-02)

add a drop shadow

then using your freehand selection tool
select the knot of the blue bow then hit the delete key to remove the excess

this will make it appear as if the clip is clipped to the bow.

add the artist copyright and your name or whatever text you prefer.

 open up Template no.3
delete the credit watermark.

open up sb_pmt_the-sweetest-print 1from the kit
 and copy and paste as a new layer
send to bottom layer
go to Image -mirror
open up sb_pmt_the-sweetest-print 2 from the kit
and copy and paste as a new layer
send to bottom layer
next make layer 1 of the template the active layer simply by clicking on it
go  to select all - selections float selections modify expand by 1
then copy and paste a paper from the kit as a new layer
go to selections invert
hit the delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none

repeat untill all the template layers 
are filled with papers of your choice 

then copy and paste sb_pmt_the-sweetest-ribbon 1
resize by 90%

then copy and paste sb_pmt_the-sweetest-skull 1
resize by 50% using smartsize
and with your erasor tool set to a small round brush about 15 in size
hardness set to about 75
erase the outer edges of the eyes
so that it looks as though the ribbon is threading through the skull eyes.

 then add tube of choice

at this stage  crop the excess from your tag,

then add drop shadows to all layers

finally add  sb_pmt_the-sweetest-winged heart
resize by 60% add a shadow

add artist copyright and your name
font used for name was Aint Nothing Fancy set to size 36

save your tag

Charming - Rion Vernon tutorial

 open up pd13-print2 resize by 90%
go to Image -flip

open up pd13-print1 resize by 90%
copy and paste as a new layer

open up pd13-frame3 resize by 70%
copy and paste as a new layer

click inside the frame with the magic wand tool

go to selections modify expand by 2

then open up paper4 from the kit, resize by 70%

then copy and paste paper as a new layer
go to selections invert then hit the delete key to remove the excess
slide beneath the frame layer

selections - select none

add a drop shadow to the frame

open up ribbon2 resize by 70%

add a drop shadow

add pd13 element, resize by 50%
add a drop shadow

then using your selections tool using the freehand setting -
 using these settings

selections - select none

open up flower2, resize by 40%

add drop shadow

add flower3, resize by 60%

add shadow

add flower charm, resize by 60%

add drop shadow

add tube of choice add shadow

duplicate - slide the duplicate tube beneath the frame layer

with the selection tool draw out a rectangle around the part of the tube that is
poking out from the bottom of the frame

hit delete key to remove

selections - select none

then make the top tube active

and using the eraser tool
erase the bottom section of the tube so that it appears she is popping out of the frame

ad the artist copyright and your name x

splatter1 resize by 80% then duplicate  arrange to liking
 then send to bottom layer
by going to Layers - arrange - send to bottom

ribbon3 resize by 70%

stitches1 resize by 80%

3 buttons resize by 20%

adoraskull word art2 resize 70%

arrange each to liking and add a drop shadow to each
dont forget a drop shadow on the frame


add your copyright and your name

for Sarah's name I used a font called Mathilde
 font size 120 background black, foreground pink - stroke 1

save your tag with a unique name and you are done.

PMTws - Lucky In Love

template 45 by Scrapity Scrap  HERE
Weescotslass Mask 218 HERE
add mask to your mask folder
........................................
open up template 45 by scrapity scrap
resize by 80% using smartsize
make certain that all layers box is checked

if you are going to save your finished tag as a png (transparent background)
 delete the white bottom layer

 then copy and paste paper2 from the kit, 
got o layers -arrange- send to bottom

then apply mask  by going to
 then apply WSL Mask 218
by going to Layers - load/save mask from disk 
choose the correct mask and click load or apply.
depending on your version of PSP.
go to Layers - Merge - Merge group
 
 click inside the large circle with your magic wand tool
which will make your selection (looks like marching ants)

then copy and paste paper of choice as a new layer then go to
selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none
repeat this process with all the layers of the template you want to decorate

then add tube of choice, if using the same one as I did,
you get 3 sizes of tube, use the middle size for the one inside the rectangle

with your magic wand tool click inside the big rectangle and add tube as a new layer
go to selections invert - and hit the delete key to remove any excess

selections none

then change the blend mode to screen
do this by going to Layers -  properties - 
and change the drop down menu from normal to screen

click inside each section of the white frame
go to selections invert
 then copy and paste tube of choice into each frame space,
hit the delete key to remove the excess from outside the frame
go to selections none

then add from the kit :
lucky in love word art - resize 50%

bow3 resize by 50%

clovers resize by 50%

ribbon1 resize by 70%

for Sarah's name I used Recorda Script font size 100 

save your tag with a unique name and you are done.

PMTws - Black Tears

 

this tag tutorial was made using artwork by Ted Hammond 
I bought my tubes from CILM but they are now available from CDO HERE
scraps used JC Artist series 01 (mini kit) by Cora @ Pimp'd Designs

open up a new canvas 600 x600

 copy and paste heart frame from the kit, resize by 80% using smartsize

go to Image- rotate - free rotate left by 15

click inside the frame with your magic wand tool
and go to selections modify - expand by 4

then copy and paste paper3 as a new layer then go to
selections invert and hot the delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none

open up print 1 resize by 80% then rotate right by 90
then copy and paste as a new layer

copy and paste frame 1 resize by 80% using smartsize

pp1 resize click inside each frame holding the shift key down,
and then copy and paste paper1 as a new layer

selections invert - and hit the delete key to remove the excess

selections none

then copy and paste tube of choice into each frame hit the delete key
 to remove the excess from outside the frame

then merge down untill all tube layers are on the same layer
then change the blend mode to screen
then duplicate layer

add hearts 1 and 3 from the kit
 resize both by 30%
then rotate 1 left by 30
then the other right by 30

arrange to liking and add a drop shadow

add ribbon2 resize by 30% duplicate

add main tube and add drop shadow

add your copyright and your name
I used  BadaBoom BB font size 72 bg black foreground red, stroke 2
save your tag with a unique name and you are done.

PMTws - Gorjuss Heartless tutorial

open up a new canvas 515 x 570

open up frame2 resize 70% Image - free rotate right by 90
then free rotate by 3% left
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas

open up frame1 resize 70%
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas

copy and paste ribbon2 as a new layer resize by 50%

add drop shadow

open up paper2 copy and paste as a new layer
go to Layers - arrange - send to bottom

then apply DBV Mask 122
by going to Layers - load/save mask from disk 
choose the correct mask and click load or apply.
depending on your version of PSP.


go to Layers - merge group

recolour by going to Adjust - hue saturation an adjust the sliders
see screenshot below

then resize by 95%

copy and paste the gorjuss image resize by 90%

slide this image beneath frame layers

open paper5

apply mask to paper direct vix mask 348
by going to Layers -  Load/save mask  - load mask from disk
choose the correct mask

click load
go to - Image resize 70%

add artist copyright
add your name, I used the font Two Turtle Doves 
set to size 72 - bold.
choose background colour HTML no. #365354
forefround null.
