GET UR GEEK ON tutorial & snags

just made this tag using artwork by Elias Chatzoudis

I bought my tubes from MPT but they are now available from Elias's own site HERE

scraps used Get ur Geek on by me HERE
Extra's to snag are in my fotki  HERE

.............................
OPEN A NEW CANVAS  650 X 650 PIXELS

open up background 1 duplicate and then move them side by side

open up yellow arrows
 line up then duplicate then go to image - mirror

open up geek word art from the kit

now open up frame4 from the kit
resize by 80%  using smartsize

duplicate arrange 1 to the top left and 1 to the bottom right

 next click inside the top frame with your magix wand tool
hold down the shift key while you click inside each box
go to Selections- modify- Expand- by 2
open up paper 6 from the kit, resize by 80%
copy and paste onto your canvas as a new layer

once happy with placement go to selections invert and hit delete key to remove the excess

do the same for the bottom frame
go to selections none


then select 1 box with your magic tool again

copy and paste tube onto your canvas as a new layer

once happy with placement go to selections invert and hit delete key to remove the excess
keep doing this untill all boxes are filled
then go to selections none

go to layers merge down x3 so that all your boxed images are on the same layer now
now change the blend mode to the tube layers to either screen or hard light
whichever you think looks best


add a drop shadow to the frame layers

open up yellow ribbon from the kit
resize by 80% using smartsize
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
add a drop shadow


now add tube of choice
add a drop shadow


add copyright and your name
font I used is College semi condensed

True Colours - old school tutorial

add masks to your masks folder

open up a new canvas 650x650 pixels

you can always crop later...

copy and paste tube onto your canvas

go to Adjust -Blur - Guassion Blur 

change the ratio to 20

and apply mask 12

by going to LAYERS - LOAD/SAVE MASK - LOAD MASK FROM DISK

 
click load
go to Layers - Merge - Merge Group

 then resize by 80%

Copy and paste tube again

click on your preset shape tool foreground black, background null
I chose a star -width 15 see settings below


convert to raster layer


go to Image - Rotate Left by 15

then add noise by going to
Adjust -  Add/Remove Noise -Add Noise
use these settings



then click inside the star with the magic wand tool
go to selections - expand by 2
then make your tube layer the active layer by clicking on it
and then go to Selections invert and hit the delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none

then add another star using the same method as before
 this time using a lighter colour I used colour code #e8cb97

add the same noise as before.
and slide this layer beneath the black star

add drop shadows to both stars

next select the text tool
cropCircleDingbat font size 472 colour - #881c35
hit the - comma key on your keyboard it will give you a shape
convert to raster layer


add noise same as before
 resize 90%
add drop shadow
slide this layer beneath the 2 stars

clcik on the preset shape tool
and choose the Ellipse option
background fill with any colour and foreground null

you want it to be about the size of the crop circle shape you made earlier
when happy with placement and size
click on the text tool make sure your background fill is black and foreground is null

 hover your mouse over the edge of the circle untill a little A appears.
when it does click and write your text

(The font size very much depends on the font you choose and the size of your circle)
I used fish fingers font size 36 background black - foreground null

once happy with your text
click on the tiny plus sign in the layers pallette on the text layer
it will change to a minus sign

and will open up a hidden layer - delete the bottom one by clicking on the little eye
this will delete the circle but leave your text.

convert to raster layer and add a drop shadow

add artists copyright and your name and save your tag

if you dont have them just google and install them

a fat font of choice, I used Electric Boots font get it free HERE

I also used the Angilla Tattoo font for the quotes/sayings FREE HERE

open up a new canvas 600 X 600 PIXELS

copy and paste the full tube as a new layer onto your canvas

arrange to the centre of your canvas

next add the closeup tube layer and slide this beneath the full length tube layer

staying on the close up layer,
go to Effects-Blur- Gaussion blur and use these settings

then go to Effects-  Plugins- VM Distortion - Gear
use the following settings




duplicate this layer

then go to Effects-  Plugins- VM Distortion -Radial Pox
use the following settings

then change the blend mode of the tube layers in the circle to soft light
do this by going to Layers -  properties - change the pop up box from normal to soft light

Write the text Techno Babe with the Electric Boots font

 settings - size 72 set to bold.

background colour #0f0f0e foreground colour #d199c5
stroke 2
while its still a vector layer pull out the arrows to stretch it across and down
so that it fills your space across the bottom of the tube

once happy convert to raster layer and add a drop shadow


 then cut and paste the techno babe text as a new layer arrange
as i have and slide this layer beneath the main tube layer

then write out your name or saying using the Angilla Tattoo set to size 70
using the material colour #d199c5 (lilacy pink colour)



then apply the glow with these settings by going to
go to Effects - Plugins- Alien Skin eye candy 5 - Impact - Gradient Glow
with these settings 
 





you can change the glow colour to match your tube if you like..


add your artist copyright
and save your tag.

A gradient of choice, I used Freeze from Nansons HERE

open up a new canvas the template number 22

make the top slats layer the active layer and go to Layers - merge down 
so all the slats are on the same layer,

then go to selections - selections all - selections float
then Selections - Modify - Expand by 1
add floodfill with gradient of choice

go to Selections-  selections none


next make the circle layer the active layer
 Go to Selections - selections all - selections float then then add gradient of choice as a new layer
 I used one called freeze from Nansons

then while this layer is still selected go to Selections - Promote selection to layer
then go to Effects-  Plugins- VM Toolbox - Grid 
use the following settings
 

next, copy and paste tube twice as a new layer (each time)
then go to selections invert and hit delete key for both tube layers to remove the excess

go to selections none

then  go to Layers - merge down

this will merge both tube layers onto 1 layer

then change the blend mode of the tube layers in the circle to Overlay
do this by going to Layers -  properties - change the pop up box from normal to overlay

duplicate this tube layer
(it will make it appear a deeper colour)

next merge the 3 squares layers together
 (not the border squares just the background ones)
go to click on the top square layer and go to Layers -  Merge down (twice)

next make the squares layer the active layer
 Go to Selections - selections all - selections float then then add gradient as a new layer


then while this layer is still selected go to Selections - Promote selection to layer
then go to Effects-  Plugins- VM Toolbox - Grid 
use the same settings as before 

next, copy and paste tube as a new layer 
then go to selections invert and hit delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none


then change the blend mode of the tube layers in the squares to Overlay
do this by going to Layers -  properties - change the pop up box from normal to overlay

 add main tube, resize by 80%

add a drop shadow

Write the text DISTURBIA in capitals with the Crimes Times Six font

 settings - size 100 set to bold.

background colour set to white / forground null

add a drop shadow

then duplicate the text, and on the bottom text layer
go to Effects - Plugins- Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Electrify
with these settings 




you can change the glow colour to match your tube if you like..

then go to Layers - merge down to merge the 2 text layers so they dont move about.

add your artist copyright and your name
and save your tag.

Wiccan - tutorial

this tag tutorial was made using artwork by Anna Marine

ANIMATION by Lovey HERE

I used the one called whiteclustersparksbylovey

Mask by Weescotslass - Number10 HERE

Start by opening a new canvas roughly 600x600 pixels


open up the moon  copy and paste as a new layer arrange to the top left

open frame 8 from the kit copy and paste as a new layer

 go to Image- rotate right by 20%

  then open paper 11 from the kit copy and paste as a new layer
apply the WSL mask number 10
by going to Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk
use these settings

 

click load

go to Layers- merge group

slide this layer beneath the frame layer

copy and paste tube of choice,
then duplicate the tube and slide one beneath the frame

make the frame the active layer
and click inside it with the magic wand tool

go to modify - expand by 12

then make the bottom tube the active layer
and go to selections invert then hit the delete key to remove the excess
 go to selections none

then make the top tube the active layer,
and erase the lower part of the tube that is overlapping the lower part of the frame

this makes the tube appear as if she is 'coming out of the frame'

this tube comes with the bats seperatly,
so add them as  new layer
add a drop shadow

resixe entire tag by 80%

and your name plus artist copyright
I used Windsong font settings below

 
if you didnt want to try the animation
you could save your tag as a png. 

adding animation
............................................................................
first open up the animation you want to use and delete any copyright layer
then just leave it open for now


then go back to PSP
 copy merged and then paste into animation shop

then go to Animation - Animations- Properties 
and choose canvas colour as white
or whatever colour you want to match the background of where you most post your tags


then copy and paste after current frame
keep repeating this step untill you have the same number of frames as your animation
if using the same animation as i did you will need 22 frames

on the animation you want use go to Edit- select all, then edit- copy 
ensure propagate paste button is pressed

then on the the tag you want use go to Edit- select all
and paste into current frame

*make sure you line up with the centre of the sphere on your tag

 save as a gif

open up sb_pmt_ohMinnie_print 5slide below the frame

open up frame1 - resize by 70% using smartsize
make certain that all layers box is NOT checked

click inside the frame with the magic wand tool
go to selections modify expand by 2
go to selections invert 

 then copy and paste paper3 from the kit, 

hot the delete key on your keyboard to remove the excess

go to selections none

go to layers -arrange- send to bottom 

then resize frame by another 10%

add bow and element from the kit, resize and add a drop shadow

add tube of choice,

duplicate tube layer and slide one benath the frame layer

then make the top tube the active tube simply by clicking on it, 

add a drop shadow 

then click inside the frame layer with the erasor tool

and go to selections modify expand by 2 

go to selections invert make the bottom tube layer active and hit delete to remove the excess

then with your erasor tool erase the area of the top tube that overlaps the bottom of the frame..

untill it looks tidy and her head appears to come
out of the frame like mine.

add copyright and your name or text, save your tag.

 

Rac Girls Night Out tutorial

Tube and scraps used - SD-XGIRL2013

template 101 by Simone HERE 
  Nansons gradients - mcq flamingo and Ruby from HERE
my Extra's / Snags can be found in my fotki HERE

open up the template

add the 2 glitter spills from the kit and arrange these layers to the bottom
 

make layer6 of the template the active layer simply by clicking on that layer in the layer pallette

go to Selections - select all - select float.

copy and paste the paper8 as a new layer
go to selections invert

and hit the delete key on your keyboard to delete the excess.

go to Selections none

repeat for
layer5 - fill with paper7

then copy and paste the element called
SD- 2013 XGirl-city scene1

Floodfill layers 3 and 4 with gradients to match your tube

(i used nansons gradients mcq flamingo and Ruby from HERE)

layers 1 and 2 fill with your tube

layer 2 - adjust this layer from colour to black and white
by going to Adjust - Hue and saturation - colourise
and slide both sliders down to zero





add the main tube add a shadow

then the large star fill with your tube adjust the hue and saturation to zero again,
same as before

then go to Effects Plugins - Xero -Radiance
using these settings



then merge down and duplicate the star resize by 70% and rotate right by 10

add the artists copyright and your name or whatever text you like..
save your tag. :)

resize frame 70% using smartsize
rotate left by 10%

then go to Selections -  expand by 3

open up a black paper from the kit,
copy and paste as a new layer
then go to selections invert and hit the delete key
to remove the excess


open up pd12-frame-03 from the kit
rotate right by 10%

resixe tube 50%
add drop shadow


pd12-tape resize by 50%


pd12-flower-03 resize by 50%
add drop shadow

add the stitches

and click LOAD

open up pd13-print-02
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas

open up pd13-print-01
resize 90% using smartsize
then go to rotate - free rotate - right 90
 add a drop shadow

open up pd13-frame-01
copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas
add a drop shadow

next  open up pd13-ribbon-02

 resize by 80% using smartsize
add a drop shadow

open up pd13-clip-01
resize 40% using smartsize
arrange over the blue bow ( pd13-ribbon-02)

add a drop shadow

then using your freehand selection tool
select the knot of the blue bow then hit the delete key to remove the excess

this will make it appear as if the clip is clipped to the bow.

add the artist copyright and your name or whatever text you prefer.


 

PMTws - Sweetness

 open up Template no.3
delete the credit watermark.

open up sb_pmt_the-sweetest-print 1from the kit
 and copy and paste as a new layer
send to bottom layer

go to Image -mirror

open up sb_pmt_the-sweetest-print 2 from the kit
and copy and paste as a new layer
send to bottom layer

next make layer 1 of the template the active layer simply by clicking on it
go  to select all - selections float selections modify expand by 1

then copy and paste a paper from the kit as a new layer
go to selections invert
hit the delete key to remove the excess

go to selections none

repeat untill all the template layers 
are filled with papers of your choice 

then copy and paste sb_pmt_the-sweetest-ribbon 1
resize by 90%

then copy and paste sb_pmt_the-sweetest-skull 1
resize by 50% using smartsize
and with your erasor tool set to a small round brush about 15 in size
hardness set to about 75
erase the outer edges of the eyes
so that it looks as though the ribbon is threading through the skull eyes.

 then add tube of choice

at this stage  crop the excess from your tag,

then add drop shadows to all layers

finally add  sb_pmt_the-sweetest-winged heart
resize by 60% add a shadow

add artist copyright and your name
font used for name was Aint Nothing Fancy set to size 36

save your tag

with your magic wand tool click inside the frame and add tube as a new layer

go to selections invert - and hit the delete key to remove any excess from around the frame

 selections none

then add from the kit :

splatter1 resize by 80% then duplicate  arrange to liking

 then send to bottom layer

by going to Layers - arrange - send to bottom

ribbon3 resize by 70%

stitches1 resize by 80%

3 buttons resize by 20%

adoraskull word art2 resize 70%

arrange each to liking and add a drop shadow to each
dont forget a drop shadow on the frame


add your copyright and your name

for Sarah's name I used a font called Mathilde
 font size 120 background black, foreground pink - stroke 1

save your tag with a unique name and you are done.

Open up my freebie frame in PSP

rotate left by 90%

open up paper1 from the kit, resize by 70%

copy and paste then apply mask 84 from weescotslass

by going to Layers Load/save mask from disk
make sure the invert transparency box is NOT ticked

click ok or apply depending on your version of PSP.

go to Layers - merge Group.

duplicate twice and arrange the mask layers around the frame to your liking

click on the frame layer and go to Layers -  arrange - send to top

then add tube of choice resize if needed

remove any excess poking out from the frame
go to adjust hue and saturation
and move the hue slider to zero and the saturation to 15

* this step is optional...

*duplicate the tube 
and using the Xero Plugin on these settings
by going to Effects - Plugins - Xero -Porcelain




click ok

add elements from the kit, I added cluster 4

add the black funny valentine word art also in the kit.

add the artists copyright
and save your tag using a unique name.
